CRY WOLF

Cry Wolf is NVA & Guests’ new dance-theatre production that transforms a children’s tale into a mirror for our times. It is a playful look into the stories we tell, the truths we bend, and the consequences we share.

The cast, partly dressed in school uniform, weaves between embodying the characters of the fable The Boy Who Cried Wolf and reflecting humanity as a whole. They move through worlds that blur childhood and adulthood, innocence and responsibility.

Lying is something deeply human. It is something we all do. But what truly matters are the consequences of those lies.

Non-linear and ever-shifting, the work invites us to listen, carefully, and to ask ourselves what we choose to believe and why. It is a reminder that this tale, once told to children, was always meant for us all…yesterday, today and tomorrow.
